URSA PRODUCTION SERIES
Carrie Certa's production series initially started out as four shorts which were written by Action On Film Festival (AOF) alumni writers. She wanted to build upon the family Del Weston had created in his film festival and grow it. It turned out that the AOF family was tighter than Carrie ever anticipated. The four shorts grew to what you see here with the help and aspirations of other fellow AOF alumni along with Carrie's various connected she's made throughout her career.
There are approximately 175 people who have stepped up and donated their time and talent to make these shorts come to life. The Ursa Production Series has been so warmly received and spoken about that our sets were graced with out-of-towners to help out in any capacity. One from Tennessee and another from North Carolina. Some people are in this business for the money, some for the fame but the people working on these shorts are here for the passion of filmmaking.
All of our hard work can be viewed at their world premiere screening hosted by Action On Film Festival. The Gala was made to raise money for a local organization which helps the homeless but unfortunately, the non-for-profit organization has pulled out of this event. In order to honor those 175 cast and crew, we are continuing with our Gala in order to celebrate this incredible achievement in film.
